Discover Gold

Go panning for gold and gem stones when you tour either one or both of the two remaining gold mines left in Lumpkin County and visit the Dahlonega Gold Museum, Georgia’s oldest.  The Gold Museum offers visitors an up close look at Georgia’s gold mining history, including a complete collection of gold coins -- worth a small fortune -- minted right here in Dahlonega!
